okorocha_mdgGovernor of Imo State, Owelle Rochas Okorocha has said that the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has no plans for Ndigbo in its agenda hence the need for people of the South-east to support the All Progressives Congress (APC) which he insisted would serve the interests of the region.

The governor made this known recently at the Government House, Owerri during an interactive session with journalists.

Okorocha stressed that PDP has nothing to show despite being in power at the centre for 14-years, noting that they have rather imposed untold hardship on the people.

He cited the example of Imo which was governed by PDP before his assumption of office, saying that it was wasteful years  just as he noted that his administration has come to right the wrongs.

“What have the PDP done other than to share the money. My people have suffered a lot in their hands and now is the time for my party, APC to salvage the state and the country.

“Just two years and you have seen transformation at the Hero’s square, Ojukwu convention centre, the new Imo hotel, 305 classroom blocks for primary schools in the rural areas. We even paid their debt they left behind, and you have not seen anything yet, PDP should close shop,” Okorocha said.

He added that there was nothing wrong with having an opposition party which his party, he said has readily provided to correct the anomalies of PDP , maintaining that APC would serve as a good platform for the South-east geo-political zone.

On the recently concluded governorship election in Anambra State, Okorocha asserted that despite the party’s poor outing, APC will emerge victorious in the 2015 general elections.

“In the case of Anambra , if there was a fair election, I wouldn’t mind congratulating the opposition parties , but we all saw what happened there and the hastiness in the conduction of supplementary election. It all justified what I was telling you, but all that would change in 2015”.
