Imo State Governor, Chief Rochas Okorocha, has announced the immediate sacking of the Secretary to the Government of Imo State, Sir Jude Ejiogu.
The Governor’s directive was repeatedly broadcast yesterday, on the radio and television channels of Imo Broadcasting Corporation, IBC. According to the announcements, which was signed by the Principal Secretary to the Governor, Dr. Paschal Obi, the sacking was “with immediate effect”.
Okorocha thanked Sir Ejiogu for his previous services to the state and wished him well in his future endeavours.
Some chieftains of the All Progressives Congress (APC), who spoke to Vanguard, yesterday, on strict grounds of anonymity, expressed shock at the sacking of Ejiogu, who they described as “very loyal to a fault”.
