boboi-kaigama-360x212The President of the Trade Union Congress of Nigeria, TUC, Mr. Bala Kaigama, on Saturday, warned the political class and security agencies against stretching the patience of Nigerians in the interest of democracy.

Kaigama, who was reacting to an alleged raid of the data center of the All Progressives Congress in Lagos, urged politicians and security agencies to exercise restraint in the performance of their responsibilities.

The TUC President also urged the security agencies to create a conducive environment for the growth of democracy in the country.

Kaigama advised that emerging problems should be dealt with in accordance with the rule of law.

He said, “The politicians should allow us to rest in the country.

“That is part of what we say we don’t want. If there are problems, the rule of law should take care. We urge politicians and security agencies to exercise restraint in their exercise of security.

“We urge the security agencies and the politicians to give Nigerians the necessary peace so that this democracy would thrive.

“We don’t want overzealousness from security agencies and politicians so that they don’t stress out the patience of Nigerians”.
