Kano State Governor Rabiu Kwankwaso says he expects two governors in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to defect to the All Progressives Congress (APC) soon.
Kwankwaso, who was in Kwara as part of ongoing consultations over his presidential ambition described APC members as people with extensive grassroots reach to tackle corruption.
“Our economy can never be good in a situation of crisis; our economy can never be good in the face of corruption,” Kwankwaso said.
He lauded the Kwara State Government for initiating poverty alleviation and employment generation programmes to reduce youth unemployment and restiveness.
While speaking, Gov. Abdulfatah Ahmed of Kwara State assured that the APC will follow the rule of law in the choice of its presidential candidate for 2015 general elections.
He also said the country has suffered so much from bad leadership, a situation APC would change once it takes over power in the central government.
