The chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Alhaji Ahmadu Adamu Mu’azu has slammed opposition parties in the country for taking pride in insulting the ruling party.

According to him, the opposition would be better if it found a better manifesto other than denigrating the PDP.

Expressing his displeasure over the ugly development, the former governor of Bauchi state went on Social Media to accuse an unnamed political party, suspected to be the All Progressives Congress (APC), of specialising in the spread of lies and propaganda.

“There’s a political party in this nation that believes so much in noise making, shouting and the doctrine of propaganda and lies.

“They will spend all their time shouting, screaming and exhaust all their energy on propaganda and lies later they will start insulting INEC.”

“PDP cannot be the manifesto of their party. Neither should insulting us be their vision or mission statement,” the PDP president’s tweets via @Muazuaa read.

The two bigger parties in the country, PDP and the APC have always had it rough, with accusations and counter-accusations, as well as criticism on policies commonplace in their dealings.

While the PDP is working on taking more states in the country, with the party’s success in Ekiti having put the APC on its toes, the APCis also working hard to take over the central power as it decides on which candidate could floor President Goodluck Jonathan in the 2015 presidential election. As part of its ‘homework’, the party’s leader and former Lagos State Governor, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu has consulted former President Olusegun Obasanjo.
