Governor Rochas Okorocha of Imo State has said that the recent visit of former Head of State, Gen. Muhammadu Buhari (rtd) to the state had nothing to do with politics. Okorocha and Buhari both belong to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Okorocha’s spokesperson, Sam Onwuemedo, who made this known yesterday, said contrary to media speculation, the former military ruler did not visit the Government House, Owerri, but met with the governor at the airport where they had a closed door meeting.
“Considering the present political situation in the country, there is nothing wrong for politicians to meet from time to time, possibly to strategize on how to move forward”, he said.
