Clik here to view.National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Alhaji Adamu Mu’azu, has called for unity, peace and party loyalty among South-West PDP leaders and members.
He also urged them not to leave former President Olusegun Obasanjo, who has washed his hands off party activities, out of their consultations and considerations ahead of the 2015 general elections.
The PDP chairman made the call weekend at a meeting of South-West PDP leaders and elders convened by a former Deputy National Chairman (South-West), Chief Bode George at his residence in Abuja.
According to Mu’azu, “Under my watch, we shall reward loyal party members. I will not circumvent the rules and loyalty will be our watchword without fear of favour.
“I beg you, I beg you, you should go and see Baba in Abeokuta. He is our father and that’s how God wants it. I bet you go and see him”.
President Goodluck Jonathan was represented at the meeting by Vice President Namadi Sambo, who tasked the south-west party leaders and elders, led by George, on the need for cooperation and loyalty by party members in the zone, identifying same as the necessary attributes needed in order for the party to win elections in the zone.
